In 2012, Fermín A. Whittaker, CSBC executive director, challenged 1,000 CSBC congregations to give at least $1,000 to the California Mission Offering.

Even though that goal was not reached, Whittaker still believes it is possible for CSBC churches to accomplish the task.

“A dream of mine for many years has been to see half of our congregations giving at least $1,000 to the offering to help reach 33 million in California who don’t know Christ as personal Savior,” Whittaker said.

Wouldn’t it be exciting to raise $1 million to help reach our state for Christ? Only once in the 73-year history of our Convention has more than $500,000 been given through the offering.
