Frequently Asked Questions

Q: My church has not received a resource packet for the California Mission Offering. When will we receive this?
A:
The California Mission Offering Resource Packet is automatically sent to each California Southern Baptist church in early July. Addressed to the church office/pastor, the resource packet offers information, planning tips, and the California Mission Offering DVD. Check with your church office to confirm receipt of the resource guide. If your church has not received a copy, please contact us or call 559.229.9533.

Q: Where can I get offering envelopes, posters, bulletin inserts and prayer guides?
A: Offering envelopes, bulletin inserts, prayer guides, and posters are free and can be ordered here, or by using the order form which was included in the CMO Resource Packet. This year’s poster (33” x 22”) is the inside of the resource packet. Additionally, there is a smaller poster, approximately 11” x 17” which can be cut from the resource packet.

Q: Where should I send my offering?
A: Churches are encouraged to send their gifts to CSBC for recording purposes. The address is:

California Southern Baptist Convention
678 E. Shaw Ave.
Fresno, CA 93710-7704

Please make sure to indicate "California Mission Offering" on your check or remittance slip.

Individuals can give online by credit card or check by clicking here.

Q: How do I obtain a copy of the CMO Learning Sessions?
A:
The Learning Sessions are free and should focus participants in “Reaching the World in California: The Great Commission Begins Here,” the theme for 2010. The sessions are available here or on the DVD.

Q: I would like copies of the sermon helps. How do I get this?
A: Sermon helps – sermon texts, study notes and PowerPoint presentations can be downloaded from this site. The sermon helps also can be found on the CMO DVD which was mailed with the CMO Resource Packet.

Q: What if I can’t give to CMO in September?
A: People can give to CMO throughout the year through their church or through direct gifts to California Southern Baptist Convention. Offering gifts are not limited just to September. Churches may use the material and have a prayer and offering/missions emphasis at any time.

Also, if your congregation observes only one missions prayer and giving emphasis annually, here’s helpful information.
